Another event that I got info about. Sounds a bit interesting. If I understand well, it is about making sock puppets.

活動で使えるパクパク人形を作ります。
他にも参考になる布おもちゃをご紹介します。

Hanamizuki Kai is a group of foreigners living in / close to Takarazuka. The group has various events, organized together with TIFA (Takarazuka International Friendship Association). Every year there is a BBQ at the Takarazuka Sport’s Center (across the river from the city hall). This year it will be on June 14th (Thursday) from 11am to 3pm. Please contact TIFA for details (Tel. 0797-71-7633 or ticc-y@jttk.zaq.ne.jp). You should probably inform some two days in advance if you want to come and there is probably a fee of around 500 yen for the food.

This meeting is for persons who are looking for a place to relax and to meet other parents. It is open to all non-Japanese and Japanese parents who can just drop in (not necessarily on time), also without giving a notice before. There will be somebody waiting with tea and some toys for your child to play with. You can enjoy also a small garden and viewing JR trains (some young people are really into it…).

June Special: Let’s prepare and consume a fruit dessert. Bring one fruit and one spoon per person and (if your child can use one) a small knife (can be a plastic one). Bananas are a good option (easy to cut)!

May Special: Meet Elmer, the Patchwork Elephant. Make your own elephant puppet and perform in a theater, if you want.
Please bring a light but firm stick (30-40 cm), a piece of cardboard (I suggest A4 size but feel free to bring a bigger or a smaller one) and some crayons.
